U-25 SAARC T20 CRICKET


NEPAL has leave to Maldives today for U-25 SAARC T20 CRICKET match to be held in Maldives from 31st .The eight team are divided into two groups A and B.

3 Nov:
Nepal vs. Pakistan & Bhutan vs. Bangladesh
4 Nov:
Maldives vs. Bangladesh & Sri Lanka vs. Pakistan
5 Nov:
Bhutan vs. Afghanistan & Nepal vs. India
6 Nov: Group A winners vs. Group B Runners-up                          Group B winners vs. Group A

ACC TWENTY20 CUP 2011 NEPAL


The tournament is the part of the qualifying process for ICC World Twenty20 2012 in SriLanka. Top three teams from this tournament excluding Afghanistan(Afghanistan is already qualified for the Qualifier in UAE) can play the next stage qualifier which will be held in UAE in early 2012.

Qualifier 1 and qualifier 2 are selected from the qualifier to be played in UAE and the top three teams from the qualifier held in Nepal can join that qualifier in UAE along with   Afghanistan ,Canada, Ireland, Kenya, Netherlands and Scotland.

  1. First international game was played in 1844 A.D.

  3. In 1877 First Test match: Australia beat England by 45 runs in Melbourne.
  4. In 1880 First Test in England: a five-wicket win against Australia at The Oval .
  5. In 1889 South Africa's first Test match.

  7. In 1900 Six-ball over becomes the norm, instead of five.
  8. In 1909 Imperial Cricket Conference (ICC - now the International Cricket Council) set up, with England, Australia and South Africa the original members.
  9. In 1910 Six runs given for any hit over the boundary, instead of only for a hit out of the ground.
  10. In 1912 First and only triangular Test series played in England, involving England, Australia and South Africa.
