Journey of Nepali Cricket and Nepal’s Achievements 

Nepal, the country rich in its natural, cultural and religious heritage where cricket was introduced by Rana dynasty when they return from study in England and India in 1920s. Nepal have been an associate member of International Cricket Council since 1996 and previously been an affiliated member since 1988. In 1996 Nepali National side played for the first time, in the ACC trophy in Kuala Lumpur and Nepal finished 4th beating Brunei and Japan. Nepal hosted first international game in 1988, the ACC trophy at Kritipur ground.

In recent time the number of fan following, craziness of fans and teams performance is at high, if Nepalese teams improve its performance by similar speed we are not far from the 2014 T20 World Cup in Bangladesh and 2015 World Cup in Australia. For this the International Cricket Council (ICC), Asian Cricket Council (ACC) government of Nepal, Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) should focus in developing the infrastructure of cricket around the country along with proper match practice and exposer to player.
